Yvette Baer

A resident of Adelaide, Yvette majored in music studies throughout high school, and was invited to apply for AMEB scholarship following outstanding exam results. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Music at the Elder Conservatorium with an equal weighting of Performance and Musicology studies, studying under a number of different teachers.

Yvette began teaching piano at a primary school in 1985 and moved to private teaching on starting full time employment after University studies. Her abilities as a teacher have been well demonstrated with students receiving excellent results in AMEB exams throughout a 25 year teaching career, and a successful sports coaching record.

As well as a Bachelors degree, she holds the Associate and Licentiate qualifications from the AMEB, and was accepted as a full member of the Music Teachers Association, has been awarded an 'Authority To Teach Piano' in public schools by the Teachers Registration Board and is an AMEB examiner. Since graduating she continued piano studies with Gil Sullivan and performed in numerous concerts for Recitals Australia.

Performance and study were suspended after having two children, however 2009 saw a return to performance with a Recitals Australia Lunch Hour Concert.

Irina Reprintseva
(Associate Teacher Redwood Park)

Irina has been teaching piano for the past 28 years, she was born in Elista, Russia. In March 2006 Irina moved to Adelaide, Australia as a permanent resident.

Irina began her studies in the piano at the age of 5 years old under the renowned composer Josef Brukman.

At the age of 6, Irina was enrolled at the Elista Musical School and graduated at the age of 15; she was then accepted at Music College for a further 4 years after which she progressed to the Conservatory in Astrahan where Irina continued her studies for a further 1.5 years and also started her career as a piano teacher and accompanist.

In 1987, Irina became the Director of the children’s sector for a Culture House and also directed a classical music program on Russian radio during her spare time.

Her work as a teacher of piano was very rewarding during this period as many of her students achieved outstanding results and Irina was awarded a “High Teacher’s level qualification” by the Cultural Education Department of the Republic of Kalmukia in 2004.

Since 2008 Irina resumed her profession in Adelaide and conducted private piano instruction to talented young students. Irina also organised regular concerts for her students giving them the opportunity to perform in the presence of an audience. Her private students have achieved excellent results in AMEB exams.

Since arriving in Australia, Irina has completed a TAFE Diploma in English Language Proficiency.

Irina is a patient and caring teacher with a vast experience, she continues to work with talented children and adult students to help them develop new dimensions in their lives and find their place in the amazing world of musical arts.
