A resident of Adelaide, Yvette majored in music studies
throughout high school, and was invited to apply for AMEB scholarship following
outstanding exam results. She went on to complete a Bachelor of
Music at the Elder Conservatorium with an equal weighting of Performance
and Musicology studies, studying under a number of different teachers. Yvette began teaching piano at a primary school in 1985 and moved to private teaching on starting full time employment after University studies. Her abilities as a teacher have been well demonstrated with students receiving excellent results in AMEB exams throughout a 25 year teaching career, and a successful sports coaching record. As well as a Bachelors degree, she holds the Associate and Licentiate qualifications from the AMEB,
and is a full member of the Music
Teachers Association, has an 'Authority To Teach Piano' in public schools by the Teachers Registration Board. Since graduating she continued piano
